He had lived in St. Louis for several years before moving to Dexter in 1977. He moved to Lowndes in 1986. He had been a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. He loved to fish and hunt.
Surviving are two sons, Charles R. Gallamore, Jr., of Festus and Christopher Lenn Gallamore of Greenville; two daughters, Shelia Juanita Hendricks of Barton, Ark., and Angel Shannon Ericks of Lowndes; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five sisters, Joyce McGee of Greenville, Melba Barks of Sullivan, Verna Skaggs of Lowndes, Lela Douglas of Bloomfield, and Deanna Metz of Dexter.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Frankie Radford of Marble Hill officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
