Joe Bob Woodiel, 73, of Butler died Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, in Kansas City. Mr. Woodiel was born Sept. 4, 1932, to the late Rheuben and Pauline Pounds Woodiel in Austin, Ark. He was an ordained Southern Baptist minister for 57 years. During this time he served as pastor in churches throughout Missouri and Arkansas.

On June 4, 1954, he was joined in marriage to Blanche Elizabeth Reeves. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Robert Woodiel of Fair Grove and Richard Woodiel of Springfield; four daughters, Debi Randall, Overland Park, Kan., Becky Adams of Springfield, Niki Van Dyne of Chadwick, and Cathy Booyer of Butler. He is survived by 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother, Harold L. Woodiel of Wappapello; and sister, Ruth Ann Moffitt of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be held from 10-12 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home with Elder Cletus Powell officiating.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
