William Thomas Banks, son of the late Henry and Millie Reagan Banks, was born at Oran on April 27, 1918, and died at Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Bloomfield on Sept. 27, 2006, at the age of 88.

Mr. Banks grew up in Bollinger County but spent most of his adult life in the Bloomfield community. He was a retired machinist. On May 16, 1940, he was married to Louise Harper.

Survivors include his wife, Louis Banks of the home in Bloomfield; two sons, Bob Banks of Bloomfield and Bill Banks of St. Louis; one daughter, Dorothy Schonlau of St. Louis; one sister, Mildred Palmer of Bloomfield; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandchild; two brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
