Thomas F. Smith

Thomas F. Smith, son of the late Thomas H. and Faye Harris Smith, was born in Dexter on June 15, 1949, and died at the Barnes Hospital in St. Louis on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, at the age of 57.

He had lived in St. Louis where he worked at Boeing Aircraft until he retired and then moved to Dexter. He was a member of the 6th Missouri Infantry Company D where he would do re-enactments of Civil War battles. He also was a member of the Gluttons Club and Elks.

Surviving are one son, Thomas E. Smith, and his wife, Tina M. Smith of Dexter; two brothers, James D. Smith of Dexter and Johnny Dale Smith; 54 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006, at his former home.
