Lyman Garner

Lyman Arthur Garner, son of the late Bert Garner and Goldie Dillingham Garner, was born on Dec. 31, 1932, at Dexter and died in the Missouri Veterans Home at Cape Girardeau on Oct. 6, 2006, at the age of 73.

Mr. Garner was a member of the Cane Creek Christian Church near Dexter, the former co-owner of Garner Appliance in Dexter, a former farmer, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a former resident of Dexter.

Survivors include one daughter, Tana Garner Christensen of Hot Springs, Ark.; and one brother, Bill Garner of Dexter.

Visitation will be held from 1-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Vaughn Wright officiating.

Interment will follow in the Armstead-Dowdy Cemetery.
