Orvilla June Altis, the daughter of the late Orvil and E. Gladys Spear Townsend, was born in Puxico on June 16, 1935, and died at the Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, at the age of 71.

She had lived in Puxico most of her life.

She was married to Wright Altis, and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sisters, Joyce Moore of Puxico and Rita Mantel of Chaffee.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Townsend; and one sister, Lois Townsend.
