Mrs. Barker was a member of the Vinson General Baptist Church near Bernie, a former cook for the Bernie School System, a former volunteer with the Dexter Senior Center (O.A.K.S.) and a resident of Dexter.
She was united in marriage to Buford "Boots" Barker on July 9, 1938, at Bloomfield. Mr. Barker preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne (Jeanie) Barker of Dexter and Larry (Donnis) Barker of Arnold; one daughter, Mary Lou (Doug) Stinson of Hallsville; by seven grandchildren, Mark (Nancee) Stinson, Bradley (Melanie) Stinson, Barry Stinson, Rodney (Crystal) Barker, Kaylena (Chris) Fox, Dean (Dawn) Barker and Dala (Robert) Beekman; 10 great-grandchildren, Alyssa Stinson, Samara Stinson, Debra Barker, Drake Beekman, Dylan Beekman, DeAnn Beekman, Danielle Beekman, Weston Barker, Taran Fox and Christian Fox; one brother, Mike Williamson of Poplar Bluff; six sisters, Pauline Pruitt and Georgia Brown, both of Dexter, Mabel King of Leola, S.D., Jan Lasater of St. Louis, Susan Karr of Kansas City, and Kay Nelson of Westport.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Rex Williamson; and two sisters, Louise Langley and Iris Russo.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dean Williams and Harvey Noyes officiating.
Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
