Vera Beatrice Cagle, the daughter of the late John Moore and Minnie Crawford Moore, was born in Calhoun City, Miss., on Sept. 14, 1909, and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at the age of 97.

Mrs. Cagle was a homemaker and a resident of the Parma area for 75 years. She was a member of the Parma General Baptist Church.

On Dec. 26, 1925, she was married to Luther Thomas Cagle at New Madrid. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1970.

Surviving are one son, Luther Cagle of Malden; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jesse, Andrew and Herman Moore; and two sisters, Virginia Mohr and May Suggs.

Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at the Parma General Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Williams of Malden officiating.

Interment followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home of Parma in charge of arrangements.
