Mr. Perry joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of 17. He was stationed in California where he met and married Dorothy Farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Perry of the home in Rohnert Park, Calif.; two sons, Jimmie Perry of Morehead, Ky., and Ronnie Perry of Tiburon, Calif.; one daughter, Kathy Perry of Santa Rosa, Calif.; two sisters, Cora Mae Putnam of Dexter and Vivian Putnam Johnson of Bernie; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Graveside rites will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield with Rev. Cletus Patterson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
