Sylvia Ina Holt, daughter of the late Thomas H. Snow and Ida Mae Kirk Snow, was born on Sept. 12, 1913, at Townley and died in the Missouri Delta Medical Center at Sikeston on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at the age of 93.

Mrs. Holt was a member of the Sugar Tree General Baptist Church of rural Bernie and was a resident of Bernie.

She was united in marriage to Walter Richard Holt on March 8, 1936, at Bernie. He preceded his wife in death on July 20, 1983.

Survivors include one son, Richard Glynn Holt of Jefferson City; three daughters, Nona Faye Bibbs of Bernie, Patricia Joyce Morrow of Kennett, and Ida Oralee Elledge of Collinsville, Ill.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death other than by her parents and her husband by 10 brothers and sisters and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in rural Dexter.
