Richard L. Myrick, son of the late Lawrence A. Myrick and Lillian Lewis Myrick, was born on Jan. 14, 1933, at Parma and died in the Sikeston Healthcare on Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, at the age of 73.
Mr. Myrick was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Port St. Lucie, Fla., a former technician for the heating and cooling industry, served in the United States Army from March 25, 1953, until June 22, 1955, had lived in Michigan and Florida for most of his life and in Dexter and Sikeston for the past three years.
Survivors include one daughter, Patty Dial of St. Louis; three sons, Michael Myrick of Washington, Brian Myrick of Florida, and Greg Myrick of Illinois; one sister, Eloise Hart of Dexter; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles L. Myrick.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were conducted at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with Rev. Dwight Hensley officiating.
