Eugenia Sue Abelson, daughter of the late Eugene Spencer Fyffe and Ethel Melvina Fyffe, was born on Sept. 15, 1948, in Bernie and died Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 58.

Sue was a member of the Bernie Christian Church, a homemaker, and a resident of Dexter, formerly of Bernie.

Survivors include two sons, Bradley Walker and Derek Abelson, both of Dexter; one daughter, Becky West of Benton; two brothers, Charles Fyffe of Dexter and Darrell Fyffe of Kansas; one sister, Janice Shipman of Dexter; and six grandchildren, all of Dexter.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Stan Dauck officiating.

Interment followed in the Bernie Cemetery.
