Barbara Freeman, 65, of Jackson, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at her home. She was born Jan. 26, 1941, in Gideon, the daughter of Alvin and Clarine McGee Howell. She and Boyce Freeman were married on March 6, 1957, in Bell City.
She was a member of the Christian Faith Fellowship.
She is survived by her husband of Jackson; three sons, Richard Steven Freeman of Indiana, Alan Freeman of Bryan, Texas, and Shawn Freeman of College Station, Texas; four daughters, Cheryl Johnson of College Station, Texas, Regina Freeman of Jackson, Barbara Crowden of Bryan, Texas, and Ericka Wiseman of Jackson; one brother, Ronnie Howell of Jackson; four sisters, Demietra Lyons of Bellville, Texas, Shirley Diggs of Delta, Peggy Bramlett of Tifton, Ga., and Diane Serrano of Yermo, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Boyce Freeman, Jr. and Gregory Scott Freeman; one daughter, Pamela Freeman; and one brother, Tony Howell.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Carbaugh officiating.
Interment will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
