Audra L. Hobbs, the daughter of the late David Reasons and Florence Carter Reasons, was born in rural Puxico on Feb. 9, 1919, and died at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at the age of 87.

Mrs. Hobbs had lived in the Puxico and Dudley areas all her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hobbs Chapel Church near Puxico.

On July 27, 1939, she was married to William J. Hobbs in Dudley. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1998.

Surviving are two sons, James E. Hobbs of Poplar Bluff and Gary Lee Hobbs of Dexter; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Charles, Eldon and Britton Reasons; two sisters, Myrtle Hobbs and Beulah Campbell.

Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at the Hobbs Chapel Church near Puxico with Rev. Vernon Kneir of Poplar Bluff officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hobbs Chapel Cemetery near Puxico with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
