Mary Menley, daughter of the late Henry Phillips and Martha Cates Phillips was born on Sept. 9, 1916 in Stoddard County and departed this life in Cypress Point Health Care on Nov. 10, 2006 at the age of 90.

Mrs. Menley attended the Dexter Church of Christ, was a former employee of the Elder Manufacturing Company where she was an inspector, and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Alvin Menley in Feb. 1938. Mr. Menley preceded her in death on April 11, 1979.

Survivors include two sons, Ferrell Menley of Bloomfield and Eugene Menley of Dexter; by one sister, Norma Jean Stroup of Bloomfield; by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Phillips and Floyd Phillips.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 until 8 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 13, 2006 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Clyde Jacques officiating. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
