Fannie was born in Stoddard County on January 31, 1914, to Oscar and Myrtle Sitz.
Fannie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Parkhurst in 1996; daughter, Aleyne Marshall; infant daughter, Rose; sons, Jean, Jack, and Russell; brother, Carl Sitz; and sisters, Oneida King and Ivy McCain.
Fannie enjoyed being with all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was a great cook and had worked at Woolworth's for many years as a cook.
Fannie is survived by daughters, Mary Schu of Newburgh and Peggy Dierlam of Daytona Beach, Fla.; 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed by each and every one of her family and many friends.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Reverend Karl Crowe with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel.
