Madge Darlene Brown Noyes, daughter of the late Clifford Brown and Maude Barfield Brown, was born on Oct. 27, 1920, at Parma and died in the Cypress Point Healthcare in Dexter on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, at the age of 86.
Mrs. Noyes was a member of the New Hope Church near Essex, a former cook at the Richland Public Schools, a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.
She was united in marriage to Drexel Noyes on Sept. 5, 1938, at Benton. Mr. Noyes preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 1992.
Survivors include one son, Robert N. Noyes of Bloomfield; three daughters, Susan Noyes James of Springfield, Ill., Cheryl Noyes Sandage of Bloomfield, and Melanie Noyes Dreiman of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; two brothers, Leon Brown of Bernie and Clarence Brown of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Norma Brown Holloway of Indianapolis, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathryn Noyes Matthews on Nov. 3, 2005; two sisters, Helen Brown and Mary Ellen Brown; and two brothers, James Brown and Clifford Brown.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. - noon Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were conducted at noon in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Mr. Otis Dunn officiating.
Interment followed in the Bernie Cemetery.
