Richard Thomas Alsup, son of Harold Alsup of Dexter and the late Gwendolyn Stanford Alsup, was born on July 30, 1946, at rural Dexter and died in the Barnes-Jewish Hospital at St. Louis on Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at the age of 60.

Mr. Alsup was a crop-duster for Ken Grubbs Aero at Harrisburg, Ark., and a resident of Dexter.

Survivors include one son, Richard T. Alsup, Jr., of Dexter; his father, Harold Alsup of Dexter; one brother, Harold Junior Alsup of Bloomfield; one sister, Carroll Ann Dowdy of Matthews; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dudley Hamilton officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
