David Scott McClain, the son of the late Mayo and Anetha Brant McClain, was born in St. Louis on July 4, 1951, and died at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at the age of 55.

Mr. McClain had lived in Bloomfield most of his life. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Bloomfield.

On March 16, 1989, he was married to Loretta Robbins near Bloomfield.

Surviving are his wife, Loretta McClain of Bloomfield; one brother, Dave Acord of Dexter; one sister, Alberta Acord of Casper, Wyo.; and one step-brother, Michael Williams of DeSoto.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Dwight Hensley of Bloomfield officiating.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
