Helen Cravens, daughter of the late Elmer and Elsie Morris Armes, was born in Missouri on July 9, 1919, and died at the home of her great-granddaughter in Bernie on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at the age of 87.

Mrs. Cravens had lived in Parma all her life and was a homemaker.

On Feb. 14, 1936, she was married to Gilbert Cravens in Parma, and he preceded her in death on May 13, 1981.

Surviving are one daughter; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one brother; and four sisters.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma with Bro. Carl O'Dell of Oran officiating.

Interment will follow in the Taylor Cemetery near Essex with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma in charge of all arrangements.
