Daisy Deem

Daisy Deem, daughter of the late Edward "Ned" Hubbard and Kathryn Kelly Hubbard, was born at Brookfield and died in the Cypress Point Healthcare at Dexter on Dec. 20, 2006.

Mrs. Deem was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, the former owner of Daisy's Bookkeeping Service, a member of the Order of Eastern Star #311, a member of the Women's Business Club, past-president of the Women's Golf Association at the Crowley Ridge Country Club.

On April 27, 1941, she was united in marriage to John Deem at Brookfield. Mr. Deem preceded her in death on June 25, 1999.

Survivors include one son, John Deem of Madison, Miss.; by one sister, Isabel Watson of Brookfield.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Hubbard; and one sister, Cheawwean Brady.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Louis Lowe officiating.

Interment will be held Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at the Rose Hill Cemetery at Brookfield at 10 a.m.

The family has requested that all donations be made to First United Methodist Church in Dexter.
