Ida Robinson, daughter of the late Alex and Oma Bowman McRoy, was born at Bloomfield on Sept. 15, 1927, and died in Ottumwa, Iowa, on Dec. 19, 2006, at the age of 79.
Mrs. Robinson was a former resident of Bloomfield, but had spent most of her life in Iowa. She attended the Pentecostal Church. On Dec. 26, 1944, she was married to James Robinson, and he preceded her in death. Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers; two sisters; and four grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Janet Wright of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Linda Gibson of Birmingham, Ala.; two brothers, Bob McRoy of Paducah, Ky., and Bill McRoy of Bloomfield; two sisters, Kathryn Lay of Bloomfield and Mary Gilbee of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held after 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Dec. 22, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Tony Hart officiating.
Interment followed in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
