Dora Alice Coakley, daughter of the late Doc Jennings and Zola Tippey Jennings, was born March 27, 1925, at Aurora, Ill., and died in her residence in Bloomfield on Dec. 28, 2006, at the age of 81.
Mrs. Coakley was a former production worker at Barber-Greene in Aurora, Ill., a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a resident of Bloomfield.
She was united in marriage to Ray Coakley on March 17, 1942. Mr. Coakley preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1990.
Survivors include two daughters, Doreen Fieselman of Lincoln, Neb., and Jacquelynn Bader of Bloomfield; one brother, Kenneth Jennings of the state of Texas; one stepbrother, Ernie Hanson; one sister, Betty Day of Naperville, Ill.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Brian Coakley; two brothers, Lester Jennings and Jack Jennings; by one stepson, Chuck Hanson; and one sister, Helen Darby.
Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Interment will be held at a later date.
