Joel Glenn Jeffress, son of Betty Allen Jeffress and the late Rex L. Jeffress, was born on Sept. 1, 1949, at Montgomery, Ala., and died at his residence in Bernie on Jan. 3, 2007, at the age of 57.

Mr. Jeffress was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Vietnam Era. He had worked as a salesman at the Taylon Paper Company of Memphis, Tenn.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Jeffress of Kennett; by one daughter, Kimberly Hollahan of Nashville, Tenn.; by one brother, Rex L. Jeffress, II of Kennett; by two sisters, Cheryl Wilcoxson of Kennett and Kim Ott of Flippin, Ark.

A memorial service is being held at the graveside in Bernie Cemetery on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, starting at 1:30 p.m. Dr. Ron Wilcoxson will be officiating. Friends and Family are welcome.

Interment will follow.
