John and Pat Elliott of Forsyth announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Carrie Lynn Elliott of Springfield to Shannon Christopher Wright, son of Vaughn and Nancy Wright of Dexter.

The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Sterling High School. She is currently pursuing her bachelors of nursing at St. John's Nursing School, Southwest Baptist University in Springfield. She will graduate in December 2007 and is presently employed by St. John's Hospital.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Dexter High School; a 2005 graduate of Missouri State University with a bachelor of science degree in marketing, sales, and sales management. He is currently pursuing a masters of business administration at Missouri State University in Springfield.

Their wedding is planned for March 17, 2007, at Brentwood Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Springfield.
