Priscilla Ann Shell Acord, daughter of the late L.S. Hartzog and Marjorie Schaffer Mims, was born on Oct. 20, 1941, at New Madrid and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at the age of 65.

Mrs. Acord was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to David J. Acord in April of 1994. Mr. Acord survives of the home.

Besides her husband, survivors include two sons, John D. Shell and Robert A. Shell, both of Dexter; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Shell of Dexter; four grandchildren, Clinton Caleb Shell, Olivia Nicole Shell, Clayton Alan Shell and Tyler Montgomery; one brother, Gary Schaffer of Alexandria, Va.; one sister, Mary Louis Piatkiewicz of Phoenix, Ariz.

Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

A memorial service will then be conducted at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Don Kennedy officiating.
