Mrs. Johnson was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Dexter, a former cashier at Piggly Wiggly Supermarket in Dexter, a former door inspector with W.W. Wood Products at Dudley and a resident of Dexter.
She was united in marriage to Jerry L. Johnson on Feb. 12, 1982, at Bloomfield. Mr. Johnson survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Garilin Duley and Sheri Rickel, both of Dexter; one step-son, Kenneth D. Johnson of Bloomfield; one step-daughter, Kimberly Mae Sherfield of Essex; two sisters, Joyce Heinemann of Camdenton and Mary Sell of Washington; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Ashley.
Visitation was held from1-3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
A memorial service was then conducted at 3 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Louis Lowe and Rev. Phil Warren officiating.
