Shirley Alumbaugh, the daughter of Essie Trammell Crank and the late J.D. Crank, was born in Dudley on April 25, 1939, and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare facility in Dexter on Jan. 16, 2007, at the age of 67.
Mrs. Alumbaugh had lived most of her life in Pontiac, Mich., and had moved to Parma 11 years ago. She attended the Church of God in Dexter.
On June 2, 1978, she was married to James E. Alumbaugh in Orchard Lake, Mich.
Surviving are her husband, James E. Alumbaugh of Parma; three sons, Steven Meadows of Waterford, Mich., Jayson Fouse of Clarkston, Mich., and Aaron Fouse of Royal Oak, Mich.; three daughters, Sharon Meadows, Deborah Broadwater and Dyanne Woody, all of Waterford, Mich.; her mother, Essie Crank of Dexter; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell and Jim Crank.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. M.L. Duffie of Dexter officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
