Xaiden Lee Starks, infant son of Bruce Starks and Lauren Mathis of Sikeston, was born on Jan. 15, 2007, at Sikeston and died in the Children's Hospital at St. Louis on Jan. 19, 2007, at the age of five days.

Besides his parents, survivors include his maternal grandparents, David and Cathy Mathis of Talihina, Okla.; his paternal grandparents, Dale and Patricia Fitzpatrick of Idalia; maternal great-grandparents, Vernon and June Mathis of Dexter, and Fred and Dorothy Gamble of Nacogdoches, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lonnie Starks; and his maternal great-grandfather, Lee Bloomfield.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. - 12 noon at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007.

Funeral services were conducted at noon in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Tim Morgan officiating.

Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery.
