Dorothy Watson, daughter of the late Leonard Le-Roy Lane and Sarah Bessie Jiles Lane, was born on Sept. 7, 1940, at Kings, Ill., and died on Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, in the Crowley Ridge Care Center at the age of 66.

Mrs. Watson attended the Southwest Church of Nazarene in Dexter and was a home-maker and resident of Bloomfield.

She was united in marriage to Preston "Pat" Watson on May 6, 1958, in Loves Park, Ill. Mr. Watson survives of the home in Bloomfield.

Besides her husband, survivors include; two daughters, April Cecil of Advance and Virginia Watson of Dexter; five sons, Preston Watson Jr. and Le-Roy Watson, both of Dexter, Thomas Watson of Bloomfield, Timothy Watson and Toby Watson both of Dexter; by three brothers, Jackie Lane of Winnebago, Ill., Marvin Lane of Lake Norden, S.D., and Clifford Lane of Durand, Ill.; by twelve grandchildren, Ryan, Christopher, Le-Roy, II, Kelsie, Leman, Logan, Landon, Zachary, Kali, Jessica, Jesse and Taylor; also by two great-grandchildren, Koghen and Le-Roy III.

Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her parents and by one sister, Nancy Lane.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, with Rev. Ed Stoner officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
