Lavinia Swearengin

Lavinia Swearengin, daughter of the late Alex and Doshua Honeycutt Hale, was born Nov. 2, 1915, in Spider, Ky., and died at her home in Pinetop, Ky., on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, at the age of 91.

Survivors include five sons, Ken Swearengin of Bloomfield, James, George, Charles and Johnny Swearengin; three daughters, Joy Shrum, June Downing, and Matilda Slone; one sister, Polly Blair; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements and interment were conducted by Hindman Funeral Services in Hindman, Ky.
