Connie Eugene "Buster" Lacewell, was born May 20, 1937, at Malden and died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 69. His parents were the late Daniel Lincoln Lacewell and Virgie Mary Neal Lacewell.

He was united in marriage to Helen Faye Batchelor on May 23, 1962, at Malden, and she survives of the home.

He was a member of Spoonerville Baptist Church at Malden.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Lacewell of Malden; two sons, Bill Lacewell of Bernie and Bobby Lacewell of Malden; one brother, Carmel Lacewell of Gideon; two sisters, Dorothy Longinette of St. Charles and Virginia Walker of Holcomb; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Jerrod Lacewell.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. today Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.

Interment will follow in Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
