John Irvin, son of Betty Snider Irvin of Dexter and the late John T. Irvin, was born on Jan. 20, 1954, at Poplar Bluff and died in the Barnes-Jewish Hospital at St. Louis on Feb. 2, 2007, at the age of 53.

John was a member of the Liberty Hill General Baptist Church at Aid, a farmer and a resident of rural Dexter.

He was united in marriage to Pamela Jackson on July 19, 1986, at Aid. She survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides his wife and mother, survivors include one son, Michael Irvin of the home; one daughter, Amy Irvin of the home; and one sister, Mickey Roth of St. Louis.

A memorial service was conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at the Liberty Hill General Baptist Church at Aid with Rev. Phil Warren officiating.
