Edna Hellmann

Edna Mae Hellmann, the daughter of the late Samuel A. and Myrtie Mae Lincoln Harper, was born near Idalia on Dec. 4, 1921, and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare facility in Dexter on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at the age of 85.

Mrs. Hellmann had lived in St. Louis most of her life and returned to Dexter in 1989. She had worked at the Lincoln Pentair Company in St. Louis.

On Feb. 21, 1948, she was married to Margin G. Hellmann in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1988.

Surviving are one grandson of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Hattie Nottingham of St. Charles, Syble Lawrence of Dexter, Bessie Morlan of Bloomfield, and Marion Atkins of Pelham, Alabama. She was also preceded in death by one son, Marvin E. Hellmann on Oct. 30, 1980; one brother, John Harper; and three sisters, Madge Eaton, Mildred Hutchison and Blanche Avery.

Visitation wil be held from 9:30-11:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Mike Watkins of Dexter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield with the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
