Dorothy Louise Gray, the daughter of the late John and Sarah Elizabeth Hale McIntosh, was born near Greenville on Sept. 19, 1924, and died at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at the age of 82.
She had lived in Puxico most of her life. She had worked at the International Shoe Factory in Advance, had been an Avon representative for several years and had farmed with her husband. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, sewing, crochet and was an avid fan of bluegrass music.
On May 10, 1941, she was married to Harry E. Gray. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2001.
Surviving are three daughters, Carolin Hodge of Puxico, Juanita Carrithers of DeSoto, and Marylin Fox of Wappapello; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one half-sister, Lois Curd of DeSoto.
She was preceded in death by one half-brother, Johnny McIntosh and one half-sister, Reba Curd.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with Rev. Dean Medlin of Parma officiating.
Interment will follow in the Duck Creek Cemetery near Puxico.
