Hattie Mae Terry, daughter of the late Tom Stricklin and Martha Elizabeth Brown Stricklin, was born Sept. 7, 1908, at Waterloo, Ala., and died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter at the age of 98.

Mrs. Terry attended the Baptist church in Bloomfield.

On March 6, 1927, she was united in marriage to Leonard Terry in Waterloo, Ala., and he preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1988.

Survivors include three daughters, Virginia Livingston of Moscow Mills, Mary James of Bloomfield, and Elizabeth Chambers of St. Peters; two sons, J.T. Terry of Holcomb and Elvin Terry of Granite City, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Tommy Terry and Roland Terry; one grandson; and one great-grandson.

Visitation was held after 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Rev. Gerald W. King officiating.

Interment followed in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
