Mr. Wooley was of the Baptist faith, a former employee of Huffman Construction Company in Poplar Bluff, a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II, a member of the Dexter Masonic Lodge #532 where he served as past master, a member of the Poplar Bluff American Legion and a resident of Poplar Bluff.
Survivors include two sons, Boyce A. Wooley of Dexter and Glen Edwin Wooley of Madisonville, Ky.; one daughter, Carol LaRue of Huntingburg, Ind.; one half-brother, Robert Moore of Dawson Springs, Ky.; three sisters, Aline York and Ruby Dowdy, both of Dexter, and Adele Eagle of Little Rock, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Wooley; three step-brothers, Floyd Moore, Raymond Moore and Roy Moore; two sisters, Mildred Taylor and Ruth Young; and one half-sister, Shirley Stegall.
Visitation will be held from 12:30-2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
