Deloris Stevens, daughter of the late Hanford Erwin and Rosie Ross Erwin, was born on July 31, 1922, at Idalia and died at the Malden Nursing Center on Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at the age of 84.
Mrs. Stevens was a homemaker and a member of the Vinson General Baptist Church of rural Parma.
She was married to William Henry Stevens on Jan. 16, 1939, at Bloomfield. Mr. Stevens preceded his wife in death on Oct. 13, 2004.
Survivors include four sons, Harold Stevens of Wappapello, Robert and Glen Stevens, both of Bernie, and Danny Stevens of Parma; three daughters, Ruth Tuggle of Evening Shade, Ark., Madeline Kordonowy of St. Louis, and Brenda Boyle of Beaver Creek, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death other than by her parents and her husband by one infant son, Dennis Stevens; two deceased brothers; and two deceased sisters.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2007.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
