He had lived in Wappapello most of his life. He was a truck driver and worked for Delta Asphalt in Cape Girardeau. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Wappapello V.F.W. Post 3416 and the Eagles Aerie #4066 in Wappapello. He enjoyed four wheeling, fishing and hunting.
Surviving are two daughters, Tammy Rodgers and Rita Rodgers, both of Advance; two grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis Rodgers of Wappapello and Jimmy Rodgers of Titus, Ala.; three sisters, LaVerne Snider of Wellsville, Rita Corlew of Hemet, Calif., and Ocia Bryant of Wappapello.
Visitation was held after 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico.
Interment followed in the Puxico Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico in charge of all arrangements.
