Mrs. Rogers was a member of the St. Joe General Baptist Church at Idalia. She had worked at Elder Manufacturing Company and operated Rogers Phillips 66 Station in Bloomfield with her husband for many years.
In Dec. 1942 she was married to Floyd Rogers, and he preceded her in death on March 17, 2001.
Survivors include one son, James Rogers and one daughter, Janet Conner, both of Bloomfield; seven grandsons, Aaron, Jeff, Brian and Kyle Rogers, Nathan, Patrick and Jacob Conner; 13 great-grandchildren, Mackinlee, Blair, Miranda, Devon, Keaton, Sydney, Seth, Jake, Lindsey, Dawson, Libby, Abigail and Kaelyn; three sisters, Delphia Duckworth of Essex, Lucille Henson of Bloomfield, and Barbara Shipman of Fairdealing.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Ann Rogers; one brother, Dick Trotter; and one sister, Eva Wheeler.
Visitation was held from 4:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Dan Sitz and Rev. Jimmy Trotter officiating.
Interment followed in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
The family has asked that memorials be made to the St. Joe General Baptist Church Building Fund.
