She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Rafferty was active in the Memphis area Senior Citizens Community and was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl Rafferty Stout of Little Rock, Ark., Peggy Russell of Memphis and Nancy Bailey of Rockford, Ill., one son, Michael F. Rafferty of Memphis; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Rafferty was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Wesley Rafferty, whom she married July 4, 1943; two sisters; and four brothers.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tenn.
Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with interment to follow at Dexter Cemetery on Thursday, March 1, 2007.
