Edna Marie Smith Weeks of Bell City was born April 19, 1935, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Thomas Smith and Lucretia Noles Smith McBride and John McBride, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at her home.

Edna was a homemaker and member of the Bell City United Methodist Church. She was also past secretary/treasurer of the Bell City Community Betterment Association and a former Girl Scout leader.

On Oct. 28, 1951, in Mesler Edna and Ronnie Weeks were united in marriage, and he survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Wynn Weeks of Hendersonville, Tenn.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Harriett and Joe Dan Schoolfield of Burfordville and Rhonda and Pat Niemczyk of Bell City; two brothers, Frank Smith of St. Louis and Don Smith of San Clemente, Calif.; five grandsons, Nate Wills, Zac Weeks, Kyle Weeks, Cody Weeks, and Nick Niemczyk; a granddaughter, Katie Niemczyk; two step-grandsons, Joe Schoolfield and Tyson Schoolfield; a step-granddaughter, Melody Anderson; a great-grandson; and four step-great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; and four brothers.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007, at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2007, at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance with Rev. Andy Lambel officiating.

Interment will follow in the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Benton.
