James Malloy

James Malloy, son of the late William Haney Malloy and Tellie Martin Malloy was born on April 5, 1932, at Appleton, Ark. and died at his residence in Essex on Feb. 28, 2007, at the age of 74.

Mr. Malloy was a Veteran of the United States Army, a farmer, a member of the Harvest Assembly of God Church in Essex and a resident of Essex.

On Jan. 12, 1956, he was united in marriage to Shirley Jean Johnson at Canalou. Mrs. Malloy survives of the home in Essex.

Other survivors include four sons, Jeffery Malloy of Dexter, James Malloy, Roger Malloy and William Mallo. all three of Essex; by four daughters, Dovie Haynes and Diane Lane, both of Essex, Marcella Burkhart of Gillette, Wyo., and Linda Simmons of Sikeston; by one brother, Ernest "Butch" Malloy of Sikeston; by four sisters, Hazel Vent of Oklahoma City, Okla., Etta Mae Walker and Nancy Makin, both of Benton, Ark., and Anna Pearson of Sikeston; by 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2007.

Funeral Services will then be conducted at10 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 200, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Larie Burdine officiating.

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
