Louise Coburn

Louise Coburn, daughter of the late Edward and Lelia Crain Sifford, was born at Bloomfield on Oct. 7, 1918, and died March 1, 2007, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews at the age of 88.

Mrs. Coburn had spent most of her life in the Bloomfield Community. She was retired from A.S.C.S. in Bloomfield and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield. On July 11, 1942, she was married to Norman Coburn, and he preceded her in death on July 11, 1991. One brother, Jim Sifford, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include one sister, Lois Andrew of Matthews; two nephews, David Andrew of Cherokee, Ala., and Michael Andrew of Matthews; two nieces, Jessica Andrew of Columbia and Holly Fodge of Cape Girardeau; three great-nephews, Eric, Jason and Cody Andrew, all of Bell City.

Visitation was held after 11 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2007, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Susan Hoyle officiating.

Interment followed in the Lick Creek Cemetery.
