Michael and Betty Whitley of Dexter announce the engagement of their daughter Nicole Elaine Whitley to Chad Christopher Cook. Chad is the son of Rick Cook of Bernie and Joy Cook of Dexter. He is the grandson of Alice Atchison of Bernie and Carolyn Cook of Malden. He is employed by Golden Living Healthcare in Dexter as a C.N.A.

Nicole is the granddaughter of Winfred and Oleta Whitley or Morehouse and the late Chester and Mickey Bess, and of course, Granny Elaine Wilkerson of Benton. She is employed by ArvinMeritor of Dexter.

A wedding is planned at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2007. The wedding will be performed by Pastor Jimmy Kirby at 325 N. Hickory at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Dexter.

The wedding reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.

The couple will reside in Dexter or Bernie after their honeymoon.
