Jim Daniels, the son of the late Leonard Daniels and Isabelle Henderson Daniels, was born in Clarksville, Ark., on Sept. 11, 1943, and died at the St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark., on March 17, 2007, at the age of 63.
He was a former resident of the Dexter area but had resided in Paragould, Ark., the last 14 years. He was of the Protestant faith.
On Jan. 10, 1962, he was married to Evelyn Wells in Grayridge.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Daniels of Paragould, Ark.; five sons, James Daniels, Jr. of Apopka, Fla., Rick, Steve, Bobby and Clifford Daniels, all of Paragould, Ark.; one daughter, Rebecca Daniels of Paragould, Ark.; three brothers, Clinton Daniels of Sikeston, Verlis Daniels of McNeill, Miss., and Alvis Daniels of Lafe, Ark.; seven sisters, Wanda Maddox of Chaffee, Oleta Whitley of Morehouse, Lela Rushing and Karen Ramsey, both of Essex, Ruth Swope of Warrensburg, Mary Roberts and Janet Gallo, both of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and 16 foster children.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Francis Gamble of Earl, Ark., officiating.
Interment followed in the New Morley Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
