Robert Wayne "Bob" McCarver

Robert Wayne "Bob" McCarver, the son of the late Evan and Clara Nance McCarver, was born in Malden on Nov. 9, 1916, and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare facility in Dexter on Friday, March 30, 2007, at the age of 90.

He had lived in Dexter since 1948. He was a retired mechanics instructor with the Mingo Job Corps and had been a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Dexter since 1948.

On Oct. 9, 1939, he was married to Marjorie Sandefur in Malden.

Surviving are his wife, Marjorie McCarver of Dexter; one daughter, Judy Heise of Brookfield, Conn.; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Evan McCarver, Jr., of Lake Wales, Fla.; one sister, Elizabeth Davis of Malden. He was preceded in death by one brother, Everett McCarver; and one sister, Virginia Hogg.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Memorial services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at the First Presbyterian Church in Dexter with the Rev. Tom Bass of Cape Girardeau and Steve Moody of Dexter officiating.

Private interment was in the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of arrangement
