David Truman Edmonds

David Truman Edmonds, son of the late Virgil Woodrow Edmonds and Lydia Rosetta Pinkard Edmonds, was born on Aug. 23, 1931, at Phil Campbell, Ala., and died at his residence in Bernie on April 21, 2007, at the age of 75.

Mr. Edmonds had been a welder at Cato's in Bernie, was a mechanic and a resident of Bernie.

Survivors include his long-time companion, Sharon Cato of Bernie; two daughters, Amy Lovelady and Shelly Todd, both of Bernie; one brother, William Eugene Edmonds of Parma; one sister, Betty Stanfield of Bernie; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Arvel Edward Edmonds and Virgil Edmonds, Jr.; and one sister, Geneva Rodgers.

A memorial service was held at The Bernie Alliance Church in Bernie beginning at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2007, with Rev. Cletus Patterson, Jr. officiating.
