Pansy L. Barker, 99, died May 7, 2007, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.
Widow of J.C. Barker, she was born in Clines Island on Dec. 27, 1907, to the late John M. and Ola Bess. The family later moved to Bloomfield where her father had a fur business and was Recorder of Deeds for a number of years.
She and Mr. Barker resided in Dexter since 1947 at 810 West Oak at the time of his death in 1975. The past few years she has lived at Central Gardens Assisted Living Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. She is now survived by a daughter, Colleen B. Belski of Florida; two grandsons, Jay F. and Michael J. Belski, both of California; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vern Tucker of Blacksburg, Va., and Louise Proffer of Panama City, Fla.
No services were held. Cremation was performed by Wilbert Cremation in Cape Girardeau with local arrangements by Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home and interment was conducted in the Bloomfield Cemetery
