Thelma Marie Gee, the daughter of the late Louis Edward and Ella Merten Geisenhauer, was born in Ithaca, Mich., on May 4, 1909, and died at the Canterbury Manor Nursing Home in Waterloo, Ill., on May 8, 2007, at the age of 98.

She had lived in Parma most of her life and had moved to Waterloo, Ill., several years ago. She was a member of the Parma United Methodist Church.

On Sept. 22, 1928, she was married to Lonie Otho Gee in Flint, Mich. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1990.

Surviving are four daughters, Maxine Mable Schmidt of Columbia, Ill, Vanita Thelma Ryon Duckworth of Risco, Lola Linda Walley of Bagdad, Ariz., Beverly Ann Walter of Fairfield, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one sister, Erva Ella Hardy of St. Clair Shores, Mich.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Edna Thompson; six brothers, Frank, Clarence, Harold, Nicholas, Rollen and Melvin Geisenhauer.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007, at the Parma United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Reid of Lilbourn officiating.

Interment will be in the Parma Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
